You Can Get Involved in the Food Bank’s Holiday Events!

Holiday Food & Fund Drive
Through January 31

Help the Food Bank collect 750,000 pounds of food to help families in need this holiday season.

Here’s how you can help:
Organize a food drive at your business or organization and have fun while making a difference in your community. Contact the Food Drive Department at (510) 635-3663, ext. 318 or register online.

Donate healthy, non-perishable food. Simply drop your food donations in the red food drive barrels located in Whole Foods stores and Berkeley Bowl in Alameda County or click here for more barrel locations.

ABC7 "End Hunger Now" Thanksgiving Food Drive
Through November 28

If you donate $250 or more to the Alameda County Community Food Bank, your name will be read on the air by TV personality Spencer Christian during the 6pm news on Channel 7 from November 17-28. This is a great way to get on TV while helping a worthy cause! Individuals and companies can participate. Call (510) 635-3663, ext. 327 to make a donation or for more information.

KBLX Tree Lighting, Jack London Square
Friday, November 28, 1-7 pm

Come join in the festivities at Jack London Square. Bring a bag of nonperishable food and enjoy a high school choir competition, concerts, games, prizes and time to visit with Santa. Tree lighting is at 6 pm.

CBS5/ Whole Foods "Food for Bay Area Families"
Starting November 20

Stop by Whole Foods in Oakland and Berkeley to donate non-perishable food items.
