Turn your products into nourishing meals.
Food Recovery Program
Thanks to the overwhelming support of more than 100 donors, we recovered 6.3 million pounds of food, which provided our community with 5.2 million meals last year.
How does it work? We connect grocers and local retailers with one of our food safe trained partner agencies. Each agency collects edible, unsalable food and nonfood items on a daily, weekly, monthly or on-call basis. Every partner agency has cold, freezer, and ambient storage to safely accept and store donations.
Accepted Items
We only accept items that have a label with ingredient and allergen information.
• Dairy
• Deli
• Frozen
• Produce
• Refrigerated
• Meat (frozen on or before “best by”, “sell by”, or “use by” date)
• Nonfood (paper products, shampoo/soap, feminine hygiene, diapers, etc.)
• Shelf Stable (dry/canned goods)
• Broken/damaged items that are food safe
• Close to or out-of-code
ACCFB has a strong nutrition policy and our team strives to source a variety of nutritious options for the community.
Please notice we are not accepting personal food donations. For individuals donating food, please see our food drop-off locations on our Food Drive page.
